It seeks to describe parasites of medical importance such as helminths and protozoa from their aspects of life cycle, host-parasite interaction, disease transmission and control measures. The course comprises of theory and research project work in the first and second year of study respectively. Examples of the course units are Helminthology, Protozoology, Parasitological Techniques, Epidemiology, Biochemistry and Chemotherapy of Parasites.
